To establish a vibrant bridge between the youth and top policy makers of the country, fostering dialogue, leadership and civic engagement among students, Viksit Bharat Committee Government College for Women (GCW), Udhampur organized an awareness cum registration drive on MY Bharat Portal under Viksit Bharat Youth Ambassador-Youth Connect programme, which commenced here in the college campus today.
The Programme was organised under the patronage of the Principal GCW,Udhampur, Dr. Nalini Pathania and overall Convenorship Prof. Rewa Lakhnotra (Viksit Bharat Committee).Earlier, Prof. Rewa Lakhnotra delivered the welcome note and highlighted key aspects of Viksit Bharat Youth Ambassadors- Yuva Connect Programme. She then explained the process of registration by students on MY Bharat Portal.
Prof. Rewa informed that the main objective of the programme is to engage youth through participatory activities to strengthen leadership and civic awareness, digitally connect youth through MY Bharat
registration, structuring interaction forums like debates and Youth Parliament for policy level exposure, motivating youth through engagement with Members of Parliament and state leadership, etc.
The resource person of the programme Prof. Rachna Bharti, Assistant Professor Computer Application from GCW Udhampur. Prof. Rachna Bharti enlightened the students with her thoughts regarding โVikist Bharat Youth Ambassadors- Yuva Connect Programmeโ and also described the whole procedure of registering and participating in MY Bharat Portal.
Students showed keen interest in the enrollment process, Vikist Bharat Committee members Dr. Shivani Suri, Prof. Swarna Devi, Prof. Rachna Bharti, Prof. Shama Rani, Dr. Parvinder Kaur, Prof. Yash Kumar , Dr.
Mukteshi Sharma also participated in the event by helping students to enroll themselves on the MY Bharat portal. The Viksit Bharat committee member Prof. Yash Kumar from Department of Music managed the programme besides monitored the proceedings of the event and captured the visuals of the same.
A large number of the students of the college attended the event and participated on the MY Bharat Portal. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Swarna Devi, HOD Political Science who expressed gratitude to all attendees, Committee members and guests for their valuable contributions to the event.
