Intra College Quiz Competition On Cyber Security

GCW Udhampur organizes intra college Quiz Competition on Cyber Security.
On 18/01/2023, Cyber Jagrukta Club of Govt. College For Women Udhampur organized intra
college quiz competition under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The event was organized
under the guidance of worthy Principal Prof. (Dr.) Monika Sharma. The theme of the quiz
competition was CYBER SECURITY. The motive of conducting such an awareness quiz was to
enhance the knowledge of the students related to various aspects associated with cyber security.
The students from different streams has participated in the competition. There were three teams
in the quiz , each team comprising of five participants. The proceeding of the event was carried
by Ms. Shallu Jasrotia (Assistant Professor in Music). Various questions related to the topics
mobile phone safety, laws related to cyber security, online initiatives available related to cyber
security , online financial frauds and types of cyber crimes were asked from the participants in
the quiz. Samiksha, Simran, Raveena, Jyoti and Sindu were the participants of team B,
whobagged first position. Bhumika, Aastha, Manvi, Sanchi and Mohani were the participants of
team-A, who bagged 2nd position. Manisha, Nahida, Sonam,Vanshika and Palak were the
participants of team-C, who bagged 3 rd position. About 52 students attended the event and
acquired insights regarding cyber security and its relevance.
Dr.Meena Gupta (Assistant professor Dept. of English) and Dr. Sushma (HOD Dogri) were the
observers of the event and graced the occasion with their presence. The event was organized by
Ms. Sarika Mahajan (Nodal officer) (Assistant professor in Electronics), Mr. Arun Gupta
(Librarian), Ms. Shallu Jasrotia (Assistant Professor in Music), Ms. Shama (Assistant Professor
in Dogri) and Ms. Pooja Bharti (HOD Geography).
