NCC CADETS GCW UDHAMPUR ENJOY PARASAILING CAMP

NCC Cadets of 2 J&K NCC Girls Bn, GCW Udhampur attended the Parasailing camp at Air Force Station Udhampur today. The camp stands out at cultivating an adventurous spirit among the cadets by bestowing flight aspects to them on ground. This camp was an instrumental towards throwing out the fear of being airborne all at once and instilled the spirit of thrill and adventure amongst the cadets. Prof. Monika Sharma, Principal, GCW Udhampur appreciated the cadets and the ANO and said, "It is one of the best adventure activity for training cadets who are adventurous in nature."
Wing Commander, D Dhar, AFS Udhampur appreciated the enthusiasm of the cadets and said, "Cadets are taught from basics of parachute sailing such as paddling until reaching the height of 5 feet above the ground, emergency landings during unfavorable wind direction, wearing the Harness, helmet, knee guard, elbow guard properly to technicalities such as differentiating various types of ropes used in parachute, pulling the break rope on their own under emergency landings, various precautions in various stages and the list just goes on." A total of 30 cadets participated in the camp along with Lt(Dr) Kamal Deep Kaur, Associate NCC Officer of the 2 NCC batallion of the college.
