GCW Udhampur’s boxing team made history today by winning the coveted Champions Trophy at the Inter-Collegiate Boxing Championship. The team, comprising talented young boxers, displayed exceptional skill and determination throughout the tournament, defeating several strong contenders along the way. In the thrilling final match, the team won because of the criteria that fulfilled the required number of participants in the team. The team's triumph marks a proud moment for the college, and their achievement is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and passion of these talented young athletes. Further, Komal Sharma, Mamta Devi, Bhumika, Sovandana and Shanaz Akhtar won the silver medal whereas Preeti Sharma, Sonali Devi and Diksha Bhagat won the Bronze medal. The whole team would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Head of the institute, Dr. Nalini Pathania, for her unwavering support and encouragement, which inspired the girls to participate in the Inter-Collegiate Boxing Championship.
